It only attaches to the seat itself...guess it just depends if the rail on the back of the seat is in the same position or not.
I'd be obliged if you snapped a pic of it for me!

Looking for the bracket/backrest/luggage rack seen in this photo. Not sure if this was an oem part or not. Will pay high dollar if somebody has one. Any leads or tips appreciated. Thank you!

I think I have one for a 1500 somewhere in my garage. Don't think it will fit an 800 though.

First of all, many thanks to Chief.
Now that I can see the pic, I would assume that backrest is from a well known maker (Ledrie) that is no longer on the market now.
Some time ago, I was very lucky to find a second hand one, that I use each time I go out for a 2up riding.
All you could do is go hunting for it on the web. Good luck!
