01 Drifter 1500 Fuel Gauge Issue

The sensor for the low fuel light is mounted on the frame of the fuel pump module. There is no adjustment. There should be a small amount of resistance to needle movement to dampen the readings. As far as checking it out goes, you will need a multi-meter to check the tank sensor. You can substitute an instrument cluster from a Nomad with injection, you will just have a black speedo face.

I was able to disassemble the the speedometer gauge package.  The needle of the fuel gauge seems to have some resistance when i gently move it with my finger.  Not sure if thats normal.  I would think it would move more freely.
I looked up the price of a replacement instrument head and Yikes!!!  Is there a source where I can just purchase the fuel pod?

My fuel gauge is stuck on full even though I emptied the tank for the winter.  Its been like this most of the summer so I just monitor my mileage.  I disconnected and removed the speedometer head and its still pegged to full.  Would anyone have any suggestions?  I looked it up in the manual on how to test the gauge but I dont have a rheostat.
Also.  Is there anyway to adjust the low fuel light as my low fuel light comes on and I still have 2-1/2 gallons of gas left.
