Stock exhaust heat shield/cover loose

nevermind, i pulled the sucker off to get a look at it.  had been hoping to avoid that, but its fixed now.

There's a tab inside the shield that the front clamp is meant to clamp around, and it had come off of that tab somehow.

yeah i know, thats the where i got the part number i had put in the first post.  What im asking about is how that 92171 clamp at the front is supposed to hold the shield down, because mine is definitely there but the shield doesn't seem to be attached to it.

I did feel some clamps, but they didn't seem to be attached to the heat shield in any way.  They were tight, but the shield moved around separate from them, particularly the one toward the front.  Are they supposed to be permanently affixed to the heat shield and broke loose, or is there something on the inside of it that they clamp around and perhaps slid off of?

There is a clamp in the front, a clamp around the barrel shaped part where the rear cover attaches and 2 little silicon rubber dampers that slide over pins, and go into slots on the front of the muffler.

Hey all, I just bought an 05 1500 Drifter (Had an 800 since December and decided it wasn't enough) and while getting it set up how I want and cleaning it up real nice, I found that the heat shield/cover over the middle part of the exhaust is basically just flopping around. 49107A looks to be the part number for the loose section.  I haven't been able to feel anything that seemed like it was meant to hold that in place aside from a little tab and slot deal back at the muffler, so I thought I'd ask here: How is that part supposed to be held on, and how do I fix it?
