Drifter ticking sound

Gasket leaks - close the garage, so there's no other breeze  & hold a burning incense stick next to the suspect spots.

Ticking - sounds like my 167,000K '99. Nothing to worry about.

Aren't there any clamps on those joints? I really don't think hose clamps have the ability to seal a metal pipe joint...

you are right, these clamps are weak.

I found one leak, between two exhaust pipe on the connection pipe.
the connecting pipe was not high enough to stick to the upper pipe and therefore a mill gap remained in it.
I lifted it onto the top tube to make the gap disappear.

Tomorrow I hear the sounds again.

I find a leaks a Silvertail exhaust combustion pipe. Its leak both ends.
Whether the exhaust sealing tape helps??

Hear is another video when engine is warm. Ticking noise little disappear but not all.
Is it dangerous to my bike motor?

Wow.  That's way, way quieter than mine.

Sounds kinda normal to me, however it sounds like you may have an intermittent tick sound caused by an exhaust gasket at the head. Did you re-use the gaskets when you put the Silvertails on?

No there is a new gaskets in place. Also after driving when engine cooling, I check exhaust head connection bolts and I tighten these little more
but I check possibilties leaks tomorrow. What is the best method to check  gasket leaks?

I had one HLA replaced when I had the dealer refresh the engine at 125,000 miles. So far, it's a lot quieter when it's cold, and damn near quiet when it's all warmed up...

Yeah, I think so. It is then a normal procedure.

so does mine.....after first having the 800 model which is very quiet, I was really concerned with the loud ticking that my 1500 makes at start up..especially when it has been sitting for a while.  But I've gotten used to it..and with the stereo blasting, I don't even notice it anymore...

Mine ticks a lot worse than that, hot or cold - has since new.  One of these days I'm going to get in there  and find out why.
