2005 drifter 1500 won't start

Spray a LITTLE starting fluid into the throttle bore, see what happens..Does this thing have a "power commander" installed?

Does the starter motor start ?

Put a new battery in it before trying. Checked plugs. Spark looks ok and no fuel apparently at plugs. Hear a cycle sound inside tank and my son says he hears fluid moving.........

Probably not. How long is "a while"? A low battery will crank the engine, but not have enough left over to fire the plugs. Probably flooded. Replace the plugs. Connect a good charger to the battery, or jump it off a car and try again.

so my uncle bought this 2005 drifter 1500 new. Been sitting a while and appears to be not getting fuel. FI light cycles on and off. Hear pump in tank cycle with light. I think it may be filter which is inside tank is it not? Any suggestions appreciated......
