Congrats on the new bike! Ride safe!

Well I finally picked up the bike and got it home.  The fenders have wear spots from the saddlebags and the fork bag was used for the tool kit and has worn the paint off the front fender because of how it was mounted.  And a pretty good dent on the right side of the tank.
Both front forks have a dent and crack where the turn signals are mounted (not sure how it happened). It needs a good cleaning but it just had new chain and sprockets installed, along with new tires and new battery.  I've looked at several 800's and this engine is the quietest and smoothest one I've heard yet.
45,000 miles on it and pretty much all stock.  It still has all of the original paperwork (bill of sale, owners manual, 2000 Kawasaki accessories catalog, and 2 Kawasaki safe rider booklets).
At $2200 I feel like I found a once in my life good deal.  I didn't want a show bike, I wanted a bike to ride and enjoy out on the road.
I'll be posting some questions on the forums as I come across more questions.
Thanks
Rob

You won't be sorry with an 800. I like the beige and black out. Nice find. Welcome aboard!

Good luck!
It looks like a really well mantained scoot. And those add-on's are way harder to find nowadays...

I love my swingin' bike!

It only took 5 years of serious effort, saving, and convincing the wife, but in 2 days I get to pick up my very own drifter.
I will be driving 3 hours to meet with the seller and as long as the paperwork is in order, I will be the happiest 800 drifter owner ever.
The seller listed it as a 2001, but the bike is a blacked out beige, which according to everything I've read, would make it a 2000.
I am not concerned with the year or the color, what makes me happy is the 2 up seat with the backrest, the saddlebags,  and the windshield.
Wish me luck and after I pick it up I am sure I will have several questions for the forums and the great advice on here.
