  I bought the '99 seat and brackets from La Douce, and they fit on my '01...The front of the seat took a little effort to get on the washer, at first, but now it's a perfect fit.

They are interchangeable. That said, there may a bit of difference in the front which may require some effort to make it fit. I say MAY, because we have found some differences between seats in the past that required moving it around or minor mod to the front bracket. We never determined if the seat brackets changed between years.

I think I already know this answer but wanted to double check...

Are the seats interchangeable between a 2000 & 2002? ... I think yes.

I know each came OEM with one being a solo and other being a dual... just means you either have to add the bracketing or take it off.  Now with that said, I have a 2002 and bought an OEM 2-Up seat from someone on here and it worked fine (just had to buy the bracket).   So before I sell my solo seat to someone I wanted to verify that it would work on their 2000.
