Thanks for your response. I have gone to the vulcan forum and have not heard back yet?

I have not owned either, so can't answer your question directly.  However, looking at images on Google, it's pretty clear that the rear fender mount is different between the two - the Classic is longer and curved, while the mount for the Meanie is shorter and straight.  So at the least I'd expect to have to buy fender brackets as well.

Other than that, it's a rigid mount fender, right?  Unlike the Drifter's fender that moves w/ the suspension---    So I would think it could be adapted to fit with some work....   ??    But I'd suggest looking at some parts diagrams (Ron Ayers or whatever) to see what parts interchange on the rear of both of those bikes - Maybe that will give you clues.

Or better yet, are you a member of any of the Vulcan forums (i.e. vulcanforums.com) ?   I would certainly think there would be LOTS of discussion about switching Meanie and Classic parts on there.....

No Worries

Well guys, its been a while. My drifter is long gone and I have dabbled with many different bike since I sold her. I'm currently working on a 2006 Vulcan 1600 classic and am really favouring the Baron customs gangster rear fender but there's one problem, they make one for a 1600 meanstreak but not a classic. If anyone has done this applying the fender to a classic, please chime in. Or if anyone knows the difference between a meanstreak and a classic in terms of rear fender mounting points, please let me know.
Thanx again and chow for now.
