That is interesting. Here in Washington we don't actually have safety inspections, which is nice, but if we lack equipment or have equipment that is not up to the code and the state patrol catches it they ticket you. And turn signals are required on any motorcycle that had them from the OEM, which is pretty much any street legal motorcycle produced in or imported to the US after 1972.

Turn Signals are not required on a motorcycle for inspection in Texas. Need to use hand Signals

Oh I totally agree, and that's why I actually enlarged mine with the '59 Cadillac lenses. It's just that some guys want to get that retro look and they are right in the fact that in the 1940s motorcycles didn't have turn signals.  our bikes are 1940s Indian tribute bikes which have all of the required modern safety features, unless of course a person elects to remove those to make the bike more like the original. I was just more or less playing devil's advocate for law enforcement who would know that our bikes were outfitted with turn signals, being 1990s and later.

Tom, I would never ride my bike without blinkers: they can save your life.
Not using turn signals is the worst thing that you could do, because they allow coming up drivers to understand your intentions and avoid hitting you...

Here in Italy the obligation to install turn signals on motorcycles was introduced in 1995.
Previous bikes still can ride without indicators.

Mine used to backfire loudly on decal until I fixed the exhaust leak, it sounded like a shotgun blast. One time it happened  in a rough  neighborhood in Toronto, a couple of teenage boys immediately dropped to the ground.

the OEM airbox is removed, I fabbed a sheet metal backer that bolts to the OEM brackets and the 2003 Indian S&S air cleaner bolts to the backer. All the OEM air box and tubing and crap was removed and carb jetted. It backfires a bit on decel but that just adds to the subterfuge.

Not top heavy, tanks were on there when I bought it. PO welded studs to the frame to mount the tanks. I believe they are off a Fat Boy.

That's what I use - I usually change it to 30-40%, depending on what I want to do - that makes them about 300-600KB

I use photoshop but also if you right click on a picture it will give you the option to send to mail recipient, this will downsize your pictures also.

  I use a program that came with my camera and it is really simple, what are you using to take the pictures? You can also use photobucket to post your pictures to and resize them there...

The thing that caught my eye first was the air filter cover. Was that an easy conversion?

Nice job!! As soon as I can figure out how to post pics I'll show ya mine. I airbrushed the Indian war inner on the tank and used Indian Scarlet red with cream n gold accents.

The tanks look like 5 gallons to me,,same as my HD Electroglide Dresser...KEN..
