What's your mileage?

It's 19 years now, since I've bought my bike. No engine issues 'till now (touch wood...)!
And I just do regular maintenance each year, at the local Kawa's shop.
Just sayin'...

  I was told by a long time Kawasaki Mechanic, and the owner of a Kawasaki Sales outlet, both said that you only need to do regular oil changes and maintenance schedule and they should run for your life time......

So checked today and Read had 24188 km or 15030 miles at purchase, she now sports 64379 km or 40004 miles less about something like 1500 to 2000 miles due to a broken speedo cable. Now I have racked up 3 long trips (well long for me) 3348 miles, 2681 miles, 2578 miles and not to include the miles ridden that summer also.
So far everything is running well

That's good to hear, I can't belive that these engines can withstand so many miles with out any major problems.

The valve check on the 800 is really easy and if you fix airplanes then this should be really simple to you.......

That's real good! Yeah I don't even know what rattling valves sound like but my buddy said he does his on his old gold wing every year. I guess as far as valves go on the the drifters we are pretty lucky. Still wouldn't be a bad idea to crack the valve covers off and see what I'm working with.

   When I bought Red I brought her home and she had something like 24858 km on the clock and so I decided to start from 0 and did the complete service manual check for 24000 km in the book, and did everything and all the checks.
I am doing the same for Pearl this winter. So that being said, I also am very strict on valve checks on Red as I put a lot of highway and distance rides on her over the summers. I also have like 7 months of down time due to the snow. So to do yearly valve checks not a big deal I have the time. But I follow the manual for all the servicing, so far touch wood I have had nothing major to do, just checks and oil changes.

I know you guys have seen this kind of thread before. I was curious as to other people's bikes and what kind of engine maintenance if any have you done at certain mileages.
