As far as giving a big 'Shout Out' to someone, I am giving a big Shout Out to Andy, our very own Ratman, for all the time, effort, work, and money he has put in to make thisan outstanding event. I wish all our members could be here for this event, but I understand we all have prior commitments, work schedules, etc, and that we cannot attend all the events. But, with that being said, I am looking forward to meeting all those members who DO show up, and again, THANKS, ANDY! for all the work.

I'll second the motion...   Rendezvous was a good time - Thanks Andy (Ratman) for all the hard work.  And thanks Andy (Ceaserdog) for the great wine it was good stuff.
No Worries

I meant that you could organize a monthly Rendezvous and Andy could sell those products.

Really a touch of class!
You and your homonym should think about makin' a business of it, if you haven't done it yet... ;)

With Rendezvous only 2 days away I thought it was time to give a shout out to an outstanding member of the VDR family for such fantastic support. Early on in the planning of Rendezvous I reached out to all the Drifter Riders in Ontario to let them know about this. Ceasardog lives 2 hours north of here and has only been a VDR member for less than a year really, he offered his help and asked what he could do.
Well once I found out that Andy (yes go figure out that one two of us that close) was the owner and proprietor of The Wine Place La Place du Vin in New Liskeard, (a small plug for the business). You can see it was not a real hard stretch to see where my mind was heading. So after a few calls and e mail messages today Andy's fantastic girlfriend Karen drove down the 2 hours to deliver some wonderful product to me. At the time 49 Reo was touring the NORAD museum so I went and picked up a few donated bottles of wine for Rendezvous. So FYI the First Northern Drifter Rendezvous has its own official wine, in both white and red.
Andy you and Karen are what makes riding a Drifter a class act people like you going out of your way to help others make things happen. I also want everyone to check out the labels. I gave Andy free rein to design the labels as he saw fit. What a fantastic job. andy thanks so much.
To all members if you are ever in the New Liskeard area please make an effort to at least stop and say hi to Andy and Karen.
