Not sure how I missed this post, or I would have commented earlier....

Looking at the wiring diagram, the ignition switch makes the red wire hot for lights, in both the "run" and "park" mode.  Sorry, but I'm not certain exactly the best spot to find this wire.  However, you'll need to be careful how much you would hook into this circuit, as it could be overloaded.  I cannot think of another circuit that would have power in both key positions.   There are accessory circuits available in the headlight bucket, and in the side cover, meant to power accessories, so you could potentially use one of those.

One caution I would give - the battery is not a really big one, and the 1500 is very susceptible to not starting when the voltage gets even a little low.  It will crank and "sound" like it has enough juice to start, but it won't have enough power to run the fuel injection, so no go.   I don't think it might take long for a radio to drain the battery enough to give you a problem... Just something to keep in mind.

Posted this in the electrical section but didnt get much of a hit...

I've looked through the wiring diagram as well as tested quite a few wires and cant seem to locate one in the location I want. Can anyone tell me what wire I can tap into that is located in battery area/fuse panel area that will give me 12v when the key is on and when its turned all the way to keep the parking lights on? I've found a constant hot as well as when the key is turned to on, but not when its turned to the parking lights as well..

FYI. I'm installing a stereo system and want to be able to listen not only while riding, but when parked as well without it being constantly powered even when the key isnt on.

Hope that made sense...
