Winter work

  lol  nope no such thing.......I just go back the Home Hardware with the broken tool and get one off the shelf and then they fill out their paper work and I come home with a new tool..........

So a couple of winters ago I came up with this idea and went and bought 3 wrenches. 22 mm, 12 mm, and a 14 mm. Then modified them to be my chain tools, I ground the box ends to be a tad thinner than the lock bolts on the chain adjusters, and the chain adjustment nut. I then took the 22 mm and heated it up with my propane torch and bent it so it would not cause me to whack my knuckles and let me loosen the axle nut and not jam my hand. Take very little space and are easy to pack.
also a challenge to most of you out here, over the winter as you work on a project, try using just your tools that come in the tool kit. The year I did my valve check I did just that and used nothing but the tools from the tool kit other then I had the bike on a jack and not the side stand. That was the logic and reason for the chain wrenches. Not all of us have a trailer to haul out tool boxes with all our fancy torque wrenches and sockets around with us on a tour. During a rainstorm or in the dark when you are broken down is not the time to try and figure out how to use your tools in the bike or where are they......

Darn, now you voided the warranty on those nice wrenches!

  Tomorrow I am travelling to Walden to watch Logan play in a hockey tournament, but I am going to go Sunday and buy a bunch of orange ones in different lengths for you..........

Nice idea.  And the little green squirrely thingys make nice wrench holders.

That would make a nice addition to a tool kit.
