I really love the bridge pics, Kevin.  Thanks for sharing.  There are quite a few in Ohio.  I put together a ride a couple years ago, that visits about 6 or 7 nice covered bridges.  I should dig up some pics....

  Never feel sorry for me. I lived in CO for 5 years and could not get used to no snow during the winter. I have lived in the North my whole life pretty much and other than a few years overseas and CO I have always lived in the north so I enjoy it and winter is a great time to fix and tweak on the bike and no need to feel guilty about not being out riding.......

Took a short spin today 56 degrees and overcast. Felt great to get out. Had to test ride after I fixed the fuel gauge (fuel sensor). Feel sorry for you guys up north.

9" of snow and right now, it's -7° F...no riding for me, any time soon!

  Just cleared my drive both neighbours driveways, and the snow seems to have slowed down, I checked the weather station and the good news it is heading to NY state now and gathering more snow to take with it...........Christmas without snow is just not right, tonight a hockey game and tinker on the bike after supper, watch the snow if it continues through the living room window as I tinker.....

Hey, can you keep most of the snow up there? I will take 2 to 3 inches on December 24th. That is what I would like to order. If you can see what you can do about that, it would be most appreciated!

There is a COVERED BRIDGE in Newfield, NY, a town I pass by almost everyday to and from work. As soon as we get a nice day I will ride my Drifter over there and show you what a covered bridge in NY state looks like. They are amazing and this bridge in particular is amazing! This thing could support a Boeing 787!(Well, it looks like it could, anyway!)

December 11th and "Its a beautiful sunny 58 degrees day here in Alabama" ... I need to get the hell out of NY!   My bike has been in winter storage for a month and I've been plowing snow it seems almost every day recently.

Yes I feel bad for you guys up there. We had our first big snow storm yesterday. It left a whole 1.5 to 2 inches. It is almost 40 today and sunny.

But too much ice and slush on the roads to ride! I hate this too!

I need to find a place down south I can go to for about 4 months, Dec 1 to March 31.  I am thinking about a live-aboard sail boat. Some marina where I can also have a portable storage unit to keep 2 motorcycles and some bicycles would be ideal!

Last one for today is Horton Mill Bridge.  Built in 1934 and 220 ft long.  Not the longest but it is the highest covered bridge over any United States waterway at 70 ft.

Not too far is Swann Bridge.  Built in 1933, its 324 ft long, currently the longest covered bridge in Alabama.

I went on a hunt today to find some covered bridges. Its a beautiful sunny 58 degrees day here in Alabama. This first bridge is kinda small called Easley Bridge, built in 1927 and is 95 ft long.
