Just plain old contact paper for lining shelves, etc. I used clear because I didn't want a flower pattern on my tank

Another Idea- You could just get some thin vinyl or leather scrap from an upholster and just cut out the size you need to cover the bag magnet and adhere to the bag and have another layer to buffer the bag magnets from the tank. In case your bag material is running thin over the magnets.  My tank bag is covered by the leather of the bag, over the magnets and never leaves a mark on the paint.

I was thinking of putting some contact paper on my tank to protect from the magnets on my tank bag.  I know Troll used it --  that's where I got the idea.   Troll, or anyone, can you tell me what type of contact paper to use? Is there some that is easier to remove and won't leave residue????
