First ride with dad

Well Happy Birthday, and take your dad for a really nice long ride, buy him supper and then when you get home have him sit in your favorite chair and watch TV together. Make sure he has snacks and beer to relax with. Make this a day you thank him for his part in allowing you into the world and enjoy your Birthday.......lol.....have fun........

You can buy a respectable record player like a Technics for 60 -100 bucks on ebay or craigs list. Less cost than some of those original albums you have.

Today is the day I turn 40.  Born in '76.  Growing up, my dad was into all the good music.  He had old records of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Eric Clapton, Rolling Stone, just to name a few.  He would put on these records and had giant floor speakers and would crank the knob up to 10.  We would just lay on the floor and jam.  Most of the album's has been lost or broken but I still have some of them put away.  My favorite album's were always the "Wall"  and "Dark Side of the Moon"  which I still have BUT no record player to spin them on.

I think most the most overlooked aspect of these drifters and why they ride so well is the fact that the fender is swingarm mounted.  the rear suspension basically only has to carry you.  Not the added weight of fender, lights. brackets etc..

Been waiting a long time to go ride with my dad. We got in about 500 miles today.  Went through Talladega National Forest and the top of Cheaha Mountain, the highest point in Alabama.  We traded bikes for a while. There for a while, I didn't think he was going to give my Drifter back.  He just kept saying how much smoother it is.

Yea, your bike is way better and smoother and more comfortable.

I actually feel badly for Harley riders. I do. I weep profuse quantities of tears for them (well, maybe, not).
