As it turns out the ground hog was only teasing us, here. Right after I took the pictures and got to ride some, we got another 5" of snow, and then another storm dropped another 6, and the temps went down below zero, again. The weather has been a roller coaster for a couple of weeks, but maybe we have finally turned the corner....maybe not. No matter what the next week brings, it's 28 deg. right now, and I rolled the kids outside. I connected the batteries, and started them up. I got a new camera that takes hd video, so this looked like as good an excuse as any to try it out. I transcoded the video from mpeg 4 with stereo to mpeg 2 with mono sound for the upload. If you listen real carefully, you will hear the difference in sound between a v-twin and a parallel twin.

WhoooHooo....it's 43 deg. and the ice melted off enough for me to get the Drifter out. Went for a 30 mi. shake down cruise. Nothing fell off, so I guess I'm good to go. The Nomad lowers I put on seem to help a lot with the helmet buffeting, up to at least 75 mph. The soft mount I made for the exhaust eliminated the shudder at 55 mph in high gear, and I really like the way the progressive suspension fork springs I put in step over bumps (we have a few frost heaves here) as opposed to slamming into them.  So far, so good.  They are predicting 55 and rain tomorrow,  ;D then cooling off to the 30's , but at least I got my taxes e filed, and the bike out  for a run.
