Speedometer Visor

in the past 4 years I have only found 2 800 visors and one is the one on my bike the other was for sale at The Biker reunion and the dude selling it wanted both my lower appendages, and GB's first born....so I passed on it.....

This morning I received the visor in the mail, this thing fits like it was made for my '99 1500 Drifter and looks great! It's made of a heavy metal and black powder coated. Kaw part # K53020-373B

I sent twiggcyles a question over the weekend asking for the measurements. They posted new pics in the ad with a ruler so you can see the actual measurements. It's 5-3/4" by 3" deep. Looks like a winner for the Drifter, my '99 anyway. Be ordering mine tonite. Thanks greenbarn!

I do have a chrome visor for the 800 -- came on the bike when I bought it. I could powder coat it black - but I'd rather buy a black one if I can find a good fit.

Incidentally, the visor for the 800 measures 4.75" across the tips of the visor. The one for the 900 is much larger 5.75" across the tips.

GB I agree with you and you should wait and buy a new black one when one shows up. To help prepare you I would be willing to buy your old chrome one thats needs redone

Also good looking out on the tip to tip measurements. Just in case i see one somewhere now I know if it would fit or not.....

greenbarn thanks, I just couldn't figure out how you knew that it fit when it was in the mail. I just wanted to be sure about the fit before I fork out $40+ bucks for one. I would need the black one for the '99. Thanks again.

Ratman: Yes, I have the new chrome 900 classic visor coming in the mail - I'm hoping it will fit on the 1500 and look great.

I'm still looking.... ON the 900 / 1500 visor -- I returned the black one I had tried for the 800 , but I liked it so much on the 1500, I had the place exchange it for a chrome one I'll put on the 1500. Made sense instead of paying 20% restocking fee (and having nothing), I just paid an extra $5 for the chrome version, and they said they'd ship for free... Twigg Cycles on Ebay - great seller.
