I like the ones with the vacuum tubes.  Anything with tubes is cool.

CDNRatMan

I really like the second one, it would be a cool helmet to wear on a crotch rocket........

I wonder if those would keep the voices at bay.........

I'm not sure, but I do know that the first one will keep the government from reading your mind! ;)

I know that there are a lot of DOT complaint leather covered helmets out there, but that one is really n ice looking, and the ones that are different and nice looking are non complaint, the ones that are a dime a dozen seem to be not ones I really like.

PC I have a new Christmas special picture just for you.......If you want I can PM it to you......ask 49 Reo and GB because I vetted it through them and also through Driftingirl........if you want their opinion on my new Xmas picture......

Sorry Mr. Ratman for the delay of this reply, but I've been busy with the Christmas lunch (it started 4 hours ago...).
Here in Italy it's the same: a non DOT approved helmet claims for a sanction wich range is $50 - $250, plus a 30 days stop of the bike.
You know what, I'm not a fashion victim but I do prefer to ride with that retro look helmet... ;)
The floorboards are very comfortable: same vibrations as with the OEM boards and my feet have enough support, even though my shoes number is 13 (45 for the european standard)!

I love my swingin' bike!

Well not to get into a long off topic thread but in Ontario the fine for a non DOT approved helmet is $110.00 and the bike is parked till you return with a proper helmet, if in the opinion of the officer it will be a long wait till you return the bike will be taken to the impound lot.

I would be interested if it was DOT approved. I would make the ride look that much more retro.....

Really cool that the floor broads were a plug and play item for you. How are they comfort wise?

Here's the link for that helmet: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOFA-HELM-BIKE-TRIKE-MOPED-MOKICK-STREET-HELMET-MOTORRAD-LEDER-BRAUN-1-Gr-XL-/361453004874?hash=item542847284a:g:~f0AAOxyBXNSUZmO
BTW, the helmet is not DOT approved, but I don't mind: it's very similar to a DOT one! And, most of all, it's got a real retro style... 8)
The goggles are selled apart: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brille-Motorradbrille-Sonne-Urlaub-Bike-Skibrille-Schnee-Leder-getonte-Scheiben-/361421662543?hash=item542668e94f:g:zQoAAOSwAL9UiG7A
THe overall quality is very good and the helmet is really light and comfy.

I love my swingin' bike!

CDNRatMan

Helmet is cool but is it DOT approved?

Update...
Here's the stuff I've been houndin' around for ma-deuce:
1st pic - a brand new repro of the old school clacson: and it works nice!
2nd pic - springs and bar for my home made solo seat (winter project)
3rd pic - a Kawasaki OEM spotlight bar (it was the black version, but in really bad shape, so now I'm cleanin' off all the rust and then I'll make it black powder again - winter project)
4th & 5th pics - a retro look helmet (it's got a little indian's head stamped on each of its 3 buttons)
6th pic - brand new california style floorboards! (the vendor's ad. was for 1500 Drifters fitment only, but I can assure you: they've been a smooth bolt on!).

I love my swingin' bike!

3 hours from Rochester sounds about right. Like I said for us depending on weather is a huge factor. For you 3 there, 4 hours on the ground, 3 hours home and you have a nice 10 hour day , for us it is far more. Tomorrow I'll be in touch with Chris and get the timing down. I am going to opt for the Drive down Friday afternoon, spend a few hours wandering the halls, scope out were things are and then Sat hit the places we want to buy stuff at and then about 1400 head home......

I'll pm you my cell number later.

Yes have my tickets and just deciding if we are going to go up Friday, and spend Sat looking about and head home, or drive up early Sat look about and then spend the night and drive home Sunday.  From my driveway to the International Center is just over 5 hours in good weather. Last time it was freezing rain on the drive down and took 7 hours, makes for a really long tiring day. I'll be there on Sat for sure as it stands now. I'll pm you later with a number you will be able to reach me at. and perhaps in the five halls we can met up.

We are trying to figure out the same. I figure with a half hour at the boarder, it will take us about 3 hours from Rochester. So, it is possible to do just the day I think. Meeting up would be neat!

CDNRatMan

Sounds like this one, might be more on face book but I an not on FB so don't know. They are saying there is a huge Vulcan riders gathering in WI the week before the Troll gathering......

There's a Vulcan Riders Group in my area.  The FB site gets maybe 2 posts month . . . . from the same guy.

CDNRatMan

That is one forum, the UKVDOG is really quiet as is the Vulcan Riders Association of Canada......all really quiet.....

Sadly this forum is a bee hive compared to 2 other bike forums I am on. I know a bunch of people here are suffering from PMS about this point in time:
PARKED MOTORCYCLE SYNDROME,
I am not yet I have a few small projects left to complete.
PC are you going to be in attendance at Troll's event in WI this summer?

Yea, you should see how dead it is on the Delphi drifter forum....    this thread alone makes for more posts than I see over there in about a month....
