I went with the standard as it was what I had, so thought no need to change it I am happy with it.....

I bought my replacement screen from this outfit and they did an awesome job of it......

really nice thick screen and fast service.

Did you get the Standard or the Vintage?

Any observations or notes on the comparison would be appreciated!

Thanx a lot, PC.
It really helped me to understand wich way to go for the windshield.
Now, I guess I'll have to hound really hard for those windshield brackets...

::) yup sad to say PC and I have the same windscreen.....I just had the screen replaced because the original was starting to be really bad shape. PC, go to love that huge chrome spot light on the set up as on a sunny day people have to see the sun reflecting off it.......

PC, any pics of your windshield?

I have the Kawasaki Fire & Steel windshield that is made for the Drifter but has a Nomad styled cut (vs. a more vintage, slimmer, cut).

This page shows the mounting setup: http://s83.photobucket.com/user/pcarrell/library/Drifter/Fire%20and%20Steel%20Windshield%20Bracket?sort=3&page=1

Here's a shot or three of the shield on the bike from a couple of years ago.....

Yes, I cleaned the lights up. They were a low priority item. Some of the last things left over from the P.O.s storing it in a barn for 4 years before I bought it. Replaced the bolts with stainless Allen heads....

Thanx guys for your help.
Troll, your pics are really helpful and let me understand that the Nomad windshield is not my cup of tea: I don't like to drill ma-deuce.
By the way, as far as I can see those spotlights are a bit rusty... I hope you fixed it, since that... lol...

I put a Nomad windshield on my 1500, but it wasn't a bolt on proposition. I had to drill and tap the upper clamp and install studs and spacers so the brackets would attach. I took a couple of pics when I put it on in 2012, but didn't get into a lot of details..here's a couple that might help you visualize what I'm talking about

There's a Nomad styled shield that will work (I have one), but a shield from a Nomad won't work.

Hi guys, I've found via internet a Kawa Nomad's windshield that I'd like to purchase (look picture above), but I dunno if it's usable for ma-deuce...
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanx.
