The tinted windshield is quite nice!  It looks "right"!

Here is the new Rifle windshield installed.  I paid another $20 for light grey tint.  Very light and does not affect my night time driving.  Came with new bolts and nuts but used the original ones that I liked better.  Installing was quick and under 20 min.  The new shield matched up with little to no tweaking installing bolts.  I have a National brand spot light bar and no issues.  On Rifle's site you need a light bar adapter for the Fire and Steel brand.  Love the look and ride is so much better.

Here are the before pics.......

My bike came with a amber tinted 25" windshield. The mounts were stock but the shield was 4 inches over stock.  Loved the look but because it was tall and because it was tinted, driving at night was tough.  I was like riding at night with sunglasses.  So when it cracked,  I bought a 23" clear shield from Cee Baileys.  Love the quality but wish I would have kept the 25" height.  The wind just catches the bottom of my beanie helmet. As my wife once said, those extra two inches matters.

I ended up ordering from Rifle company above.  They had a lot of 800 and 1500 Drifter options and custom sizes too.  My original windshield when I took it out today to check for the correct ordering and went  up to my mid neck and not the chin.  I measured the center edge to edge it was 19in.  My new one will be 24 in to reach my nose.  Also my old width was 20 in and new one is 25".  Rifle customer service said just like CDNratman said have height go to nose range.  Rifle said some folks go to top of head height but most are to nose height and go close to shoulder width.  I am 28" shoulder so went to 25 in compared to the 20 in on stock.  I thought the stock seemed really small.....

Price with UPS shipping is $183 and $35 was for custom sizing.  They have up to 22 in height without the added $35 custom size charge.  Made to order and goes out generally in a week from order date.

Hopefully no more or fewer bugs in the face....................

I'll post up some pics when mounted............

;) I bought the Standard model and got the
Clear,
20" same as my old one,
26" wide same as old one,
I wear a little pot helmet not a 3/4 quarter, I do wear a modular in the rain.
I am also 5'11" tall on a good day, I had my old windscreen set so the top of the screen was even with the tip of my nose. I have last year ridden home one night in a really bad night of bugs and did get the odd hit on the helmet and face, but the next day my windscreen was a mass of blood and guts. I find the width ok for me, I also have the correct height for my seating style. Your screen should be even with your nose tip.
One thing I found with the 7jurock wind screen so far has been it is a real pain to mount on your old hardware....lol...the screen is cut on the flat and you have to bend it to the mount....lol.....but it looks so good. I'll be using it this summer a lot.

GPS is not to get you THERE but rather to get you home from THERE

Here a link from CDNRatman above that have OEM windshield replacements.  You can order up to 27" tall by 28" width.

What size did you do CDNRatman?  Do you have bugs hitting you wearing the half face helmet?

I am new to Drifter's and was out yesterday riding, wearing a full face helmet and Drifter windshield.   I was being pelted in the helmet face shield with bugs.  I was thankful , I had it on because if it was no helmet or a half face helmet I would've had face impacts.

So my issue is my factory OEM shield is not tall enough, to keep the bugs from hitting my face. I am 5'11 and sitting in my OEM solo seat my chin is even with the top of my windshield.  So looking around here I found Andy's posted link above from a Company - 7Jurock out of California, that sells bolt on replacement OEM windshields that mount right to your current hardware.  Quick and easy change.

Has anyone bought a taller windshield that fixed the same bug issue?  If, so I need to figure what size and width I need......
