additional pics.. the lining is some type of metal I got from a sign company and I glued it in and then taped the seams with HVAC metal tape. Inside dimensions are approx. 13" long x 5.25" wide x 10" deep.

Osprey mounts work like a champ. Have them on my 800 and been very satisfied. You should be able to mount any bags. I have the KW accessory bags on mine.

Pilgrim: Which model Willie and Max bags do you have?....slant bags or straight bags? A photo would be good when you can. I'm looking for a set of rectangular bags. Laptop won't make it in my KW shaped bags.

Sorry cja I only have a cheap set of throw over bags, not sure off the top of my head who has bags on their 800 will need to look and see.

Thanks guys for the info, ratman is the bags on your bike pic one of Osprey bags. Just worried about if the bag I pick will actually fit my bike without having to return them

No but ill get some for you...I lined them with metal so they are hard-soft bags. have a matching tool bag too.

Like Sir Pilgrim said- you should be able to fit about any bags on the Osprey mounts. I've heard some folks say they are nice mounts.

when I owned my 800 I had the ospry mounts and I had willie and max sadle bags installed on them..you can put whatever bags you like on them.

I need to sell them saddlebags because I no longer have the 800. They look good on the black and silver 800.

Hey everyone
Have been looking at older posts in regards to trying to find mounting brackets for my 2002 800. I emailed Osprey and he tells me he still make mounting brackets. I am just wondering if anyone has used them and can I install and saddlebags to the or do they have to be their bags.
I am up in canada and with our sit dollar and shipping it is cheaper to buy bags up here
