Well, for a few extra bucks, wet sand the clear coat to get it ready for another coat, then do the gold leaf, then shoot a couple more coats of clear. then it's protected.... :)

Guys paint job is finally done on my 800 and yes I'll post pics as soon as I get everything back from paint. Question is... I need some help figuring out what I want to do in way of either pinstripe, design, etc for the fenders and gas tank.. I was thinking using the sticker that was on the front fender as a guide doing that in gold leaf and that's it... Most of you will say you should have done this before clear coating the paint but I'm here now and need suggestions. Nothing too complicated please but give me an idea. Thanks guys
