Different Tire Question

Well, the "no problems"  bit will be the killer.

1) There are several reasons not to use rear tires on the front.
2) Add to the above the difference in height and width.

You can google to discover the problems associated with #1.  You'd need to measure to be sure #2 isn't going to be a problem. It will change the handling of the bike.

I don't screw around with bike tires - they are too important to my safety.  Peace of mind is more important to me than saving a few bucks. You will eventually need that rear tire for the rear - so I'd save it if it were me.

Has anyone put the same size tires front and rear, using the rear size. (1500) Any comments or opinions.
I need to change front tire and I have an extra rear tire in the garage. So if I can save a buck or two with no problems I will.
