Merci mon chum. It can be a very emotional ride for people the first time they do it. I have noticed each year there is a lot of wet eyes in the parking lot at the hospital, or it is just the wind in their face. This is an event that the whole city of New Liskeard gets involved in and that makes it a huge family event for the long weekend.
Also from about 75 kms south and the same distance north all the gas stations donate at least 2% of their fuel sales from bikes to the ride, and at least 4 I know of donate 2% of their total sales from the weekend to the ride.
A very highly recommended event to attend if possible.

I've never been too big on yellow, but I'll take the Norton, if you're giving it away...I can always have it repainted in JPS livery...

Now my buddy Wayne who lives up there and has a 1500 Drifter, said on Sat night there was oh 3 or 4 other Drifters up there, but today I could not see or find any. So they must have left, but they had told Wayne they would contact him for getting together. The Freedom Ride was once more very well attended and the 110 km route was a nice ride, loads of people in support. The ride home was dark and it started to drizzle about 45 mins. out of town, and about 15 mins out of town it rain and it did make you pay attention to your riding.

Left this morning 0700 to go to the Biker Reunion, weather was cool and damp, overcast day, forecast was calling for showers all day. Did see a black bear and a couple of moose along the route up, was a really nice 2 hour ride up. Seemed the actual numbers were down, part in due to the weather and that it was not a true long weekend for a lot of people and so a lot of folks left this morning heading home. I did get to see the lady fired out of the cannon, so that was something. There was a vast array of bikes from one street legal Enduro bike to all types of road cruisers.
