Main Street Church of God's ride today was a success!
Odetta had two of us there representing her! This is most, but not all, of the bikes that showed up.  I tried to get Odetta on the back of Nadine, but she declined.

As usual, only 1 Drifter, and nobody realized that the "Indian" was really not.

I don't think Odetta wants to go for a ride.

See, it all started a few days ago.......
I run a cafe for Senior Citizens every Tuesday and Wednesday. We have our regulars, and a few that come from time to time. We serve them lunch and then I call bingo for the next couple of hours. We have a pretty good time.
We have 3 or 4 new Seniors that have started coming, and one of them is named Odetta. Now Odetta has got to be all of 90 years old. She's a sweet old lady who is quick with a smile and likes to get involved in whatever is going on. She might break 5 feet tall and has silver / blue hair.
Wednesday as we were wrapping up lunch she called me over to her. She reached into her purse and pulled out a church bullitin. She began to tell me, as she unfolded the paper, that she goes to this church in the next town over, and they're having a motorcycle event this Sunday. She told me that it's all to raise money for overseas missionaries. The ride is only about 50 miles and there are supposed to be about 50-60 motorcycles there.
Then she told me that all of her friends at church either were riding themselves, or they had friends that are riding in their place. Then she looked at me and told me that she didn't know anyone, and asked, "Would you ride for me, please?" How could I refuse?
So tomorrow Winndy & I ride for for Odetta, and my best friend Bobby is going to come along and ride his bike for Odetta too. She doesn't know that part yet.
I only wish I'd have known a couple of weeks ago. I could have pulled together a whole mess of bikers for her. Could you imagine her face if she's just expecting Winndy and I, and we roll up 100 bikes strong?
Anyways, tomorrow we ride for Odetta!
