I had a set of factory bags on my Triumph T-bird. They were "contoured" to match the fender line. They looked great but were as worthless as a turd on a punch bowel. I could not get a six pack in the bag without putting the cans in one by one. Who ever heard of saddle bags that won't hold a six pack.  I can get a 12 pack in each of the bags on my '99er.

In my opinion functional is the way to go, I have sloping bags fitted to one of my bikes.. bad idea too much wasted space.

Have you considered leather dye to change the color of your bags?

You might want to try Singh Saddleries. They make seats and bags in any color.  They are on Facebook.  I have one of their seats on my bike.  Top notch work.

Getting my ass tanned sounds kind of kinky.... that being said tose bags while highly functional are not worth the effort. I have the original Drifter bags but I don't think they can die them back from black. I've contacted Singh and found a pic her of DC's bike. They are exactly what I want without the fringe. Also watching a set of Indian bags but not sure about fitting them. I do like hard bags though.

  Have you looked about there has to be someone in that area could tan your ugly ass to the colour you want?

Tan is hard to come by, it seems.

On the hard vs leather, why not have both?  I've been investigating some leather-covered hard bags, trying to find one that will look good on the bike.  I'm considering buying damaged, and recovering them with tan.....

Mostly the bags but I'm torn between the hardbags vs leather, mostlt looking for some suggestions on brands of tan leather bags.

Not sure which topic to cover. Is it the ugly ass, black bags, hard bags, fussy paint, or painting your bike, or plastidip? If it was me, I'd buy bags to match the seat.

Hi, I recently bought a tan Corbin 2 up, problem is my ugly ass but functional black bags. I'm going to change them and would like input/recommendations from members. I have a 99 Gooseberry. I have been thinking about maybe going with hard bags, but not real fussy on the idea of getting them painted. Have been thinking about painting the bike, but seems silly since gooseberry was only available on the 99, may even plastidip so that I still have the original gooseberry.
