Another children's charity we donate to is Tiny Hearts of Hope:
http://www.tinyheartsofhope.org/index.html

This is a family we know that fell in love with orphans in Vietnam, so they sold their home in the states, and moved over there to help meet the kids needs there.  I have not been there, but they tell us the conditions there are really poor.  I know it's not what one would consider "local" though.

We routinely donate to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis. Its easy to set up an account for donations.

Yes it is hard to believe, in any economy, people would ignore a request to donate money.   Interesting....

Perhaps Terri could help you make contact with the Kawasaki folks??

It's hard to believe that a charitable donation could be refused, but there are lots of strange things that happen...I, for one , am looking forward to Pikeville, and even though it's still 6 months away, I can hardly wait...

Unfortunately Heidi and I have had to decide if we are going to continue to try and get the people to respond to us from the hospital about the charity we chose or move on the another charity.
Numerous attempts have been made both in person, by email and by phone to get someone to respond to us from the hospital. Our attempts have gone nowhere regardless who we spoke with.

Our charity will be switching to a place to be announced, but still along the lines of helping children.
I have been in contact with the vice president of the Kentucky chapter of B.A.C.A., please google this and check the youtube video. I have asked  to speak with Him about joining us in this cause we most likely will be  switching our charity donations to.

This has recently come about and at the time the info was put on the site the hospital was still our charity.
We are attempting to change to benefit child abuse awareness and protection.
With no response from the Hospital we saw no sense in continuing to pursue them.

This is not the only obsticale we are facing.
I have repeatedly contacted and left msgs for the man I was told to contact at Kawasaki in California. He will not return my phone calls so Kawasaki is ignoring me.

I have repeatedly contacted the editor of the newspaper, He has been standoffish and somewhat rude. Regardless He said someone would contact me about this. No one has as of yet.

We are trying to move forward, but we have been getting little cooperation at this point, however I am a tenacious individual and I will call everyday if I have to until this squeaky wheel gets greased or banned.

Heidi and I are trying to move forward and there are a couple of rides planned, but not finalized so no reason to go into them until they are.

Heidi and I are so thankful for the people who are working to help us all to make this a success.
Those of you (and you know who you are) who have been on the negative side of this, we hope you will have a good time anyway.

Phil Gray is being instrumental with planning rides and will be leading a couple of rides. He also will be completing fliers for the Drift-In 2015.

Tracy Kavanaugh (greenbarn) is helping with the shirts and coordinating with Chief1500 and the registration for accuracy and count.

Tom and Cheryl Erwin has provided the trophies to be given out.

The Kawasaki Dealership and Harley Dealership in Pikeville are on board and helping, The Landmark Inn is completely on board.

There are many more members who have contacted us and are excited to help.

Vader3, who is wanting the Drift-in 2016 to be in Pennsylvania, which He will host, is bringing a group with Him.
There are people who are not Drifter riders who saw what was going on at Maggie Valley. Heidi and I became acquainted with them. They will be attending because they were impressed with the manner in which we conducted ourselves and the pride we take not only in our machines but ourselves.

Vader3 and his group has offered to help in any way possible.

I know there has not been too many updates, but with the negative responses we were getting we have concentrated on the positive responses.

Heidi was personally attacked on facebook and I will address this, because I will not forget.

We are doing the best we can to make this Drift-In 2015 the best possible, but anymore personal attacks from anyone on my wife, no matter who it is, will not be tolerated and will be dealt with.

Please no more attacks, She was devastated. Please do not ask for a name it will be revealed at the correct time.

Heidi and I are moving forward and are still coming up with ideas.

It is correct the logo voting was reinstated for the (BACK OF THE SHIRT ONLY).
Heidi and I have designed the logo for the front of the shirt.

This is done already so discussion on the front of the shirt is mute.

More updates will follow as they happen.

We will continue to recognize those who help make this a success in a heartfelt and THANKFUL WAY.

Dancing Bear (Ron) out for now
