Very nice!  Those tips really top it off nicely, huh?

Just added a set of V&H tips purchased on ebay from vendor riders-resource.  Very fast shipping.

I decided to put the baffles back in prior to installing the tips because the tip fitment was so tight (and I mean tight, even with wd40 smeared on it) that I realized I would have an almost impossible time getting them off and on again without ruining some chrome.

They look awesome!

Installed them Friday night.  The overall process was easy although I had to loosen up the ends on the mufflers because it was too tight to slide over the headers.  Other than that, very straight forward and easy.  After reading various threads, I purchased Harley Davidson header pipe gaskets (don't have the part number handy but a quick google will find the links).

Edit:  The part number is  17048-98

I purchased a set of Vance & Hines pipes from Ebay vendor leclarepowersports.  I bought them Thursday morning and had them waiting at my door Friday afternoon!  Incredible!

LOVE the sound!  I am running without the baffles and it's loud but man, what a difference when riding.  We took a 250 miles trek up to the St Lawrence river and surrounding areas and it was the most enjoyable ride I have had yet.  I could finally hear the motor and the rpms.  I just can't describe how much better it was to ride this bike with these pipes versus stock.   I might put the baffles back in so I don't really annoy the neighbors when I leave for work at 5am but even with the baffles, the sound is so much better.

For anyone that hates "quiet" grab these pipes!
