Wax on, wax off.

 KF that was a really cool read the link to the pledge.

Now do I need to try the pledge, I have been using the Plexus on my wind screen and it is really good, yes dear price wise but it does an awesome job. I bought a small can and use it prior to any major ride, to clean my screen and it does a really nice job, and my screen is easy to clean after a ride into the sun with the north bugs we have.

I wax my bikes with a Maguier's cleaning wax about once or twice a year. Then I use either Maguier's quick detailer or Lemon Pledge for shine-ups.

  I used turtle wash and wax stuff and seems to work really well, this winter I might do some real polishing ......

Turtle Wax Black Box for my black bike.  I hit it a couple times a year.

I use either Mothers or Maguiers final touch spray. Just enough wax to protect things and it dries clear.

As far a dull paint, wax will not bring back the shine. You need to polish it. You can usually do a good job by hand but if it is really bad you will need to machine polish it. There is enough clear coat on the original finish to buff up like new.

Do you wax your Drifter frequently? I use this soap/wax liquid to wash my bike, but I'm not sure how well it works as a wax, but its a great soap.

Being that my Drifter is a '99, the paint could definitely use some additional gloss. Do you think I would benefit from waxing/buffing my bike the old fashioned way?
