Just bought this http://www.ebay.com/itm/291180084717?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT#ht_1400wt_1125

As opposed to this  http://www.ebay.com/itm/360939513731?item=360939513731&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:X:eRTM:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr#ht_4358wt_1125

Guys response, for the bare drifter rim, it's the only one on eBay, I pointed out that all the other ones were the same freakin' rim. which he apparently knows because they are a scrap yard/shop.

The bare rim should be listed as $47.50, not $475!!!   The only thing that is good for is sand-blasting and powder-coating!!

No Worries

Let us know how you make out.  I'm also considering something similar.

I know for a fact that a 1995 Vulcan 1500 wheel will fit, so I'd have to say that a 1996 should work as well since I don't think there were any changes between those years.

Is that a quick enough answer?

Will the the rear wheel off of a 96 Classic fit my 99 1500?
