Drift1,
I have actually been able to hook up with Singh on FB and it looks like I may not be in need of your services,, but I wanted to thank you again for being so helpful. I'll reach out to you here if we run into any obstacles=

Thanks Drift1,
First, thank you for your service- both military and personal.
Please be patient with me as I go through Mr. Singh's sizeable collection and make up my mind. When I have decided, I will post the picture here and hopefully we can work something out- you can expect my post in a few days, I want to make sure I choose the right seat as it will probably stay on the bike forever.
I really do appreciate your help and the help of everyone on the forum-

I'm back  ;D

Sorry Nazarene I've been on military obligations , any way yes I can/will help you get the seat your seeking . I see you have friend requested Singh , already . Anyways He checks this page from time to time , but isn't on Facebook to often so please don't take it personnel . To clear some confusion up , Singh NO LONGER sells his seats on ebay because of the fee's they charge him . Here's a quote from one of his emails he has sent me when I inquired about the seat being sold on ebay .

"The seat thats on ebay is one of my seats, Someone stole one of my pics and are selling it under their name.I mailed them & ebay in regard to the pics being stolen, but no response . Now all my pics have watermarks, so not that easy for anyone to copy them that easily ."

This being said , Nazarene if you go on facebook and look at Singhs page and pick out a seat you want I can be assistance .

GB I inquired about this after you asked me if the seat was being sold by Singh under that other name .

I've heard others have had a hard time getting in touch with him via facebook as well.  Drift1 is kind of his VDR Sales Rep for the forum - I think he has Singh's secret e-mail address.   I'm sure he (D1) will chime in here eventually....    (wake up D1....)    :D

No Worries

That's great news Jimbo- I'll check out e-bay. Thanks!

Singh has sold seats on Ebay for quite some time.  Their shipping fee has been $45 bucks.  I have one of their seats on my 1500.  I love it.

Thanks Both- for some reason I thought someone said Singh was from Guatemala-I hope the shipping costs from India aren't too terrible!  :o

I will reach out to Drifter1 and see if he has any ideas for me-
Thanks again guys!

Hello Gentlemen,
I'm an FNG here at the forum. I have a 2004 800 Drifter. I've always loved the bike, but life and work have consistently conspired to keep me from riding it as much as I would like. Things change, and now I find myself heading out much more often. Which has caused me to fall in love with my Drifter all over again.

What I have done with the bike so far is rather minimal; HardKrome American Classic Straight exhausts, an OEM cruiser-style windshield, and other very small stuff. My plans are for painting the bike in tan and black opposed to the factory silver and black, and  springer seat. It's the seat selection that is giving me fits.

I love the look of the the La Rosa seats, but how the hell do you mount them on a Drifter? Also, there is a cat named Sing down in South America somewhere that makes some really beautiful seats, I found him on FB but so far no response to my friend request or messages.
Who among us has modded their 800 with a springer seat and can recommend a functional and good-looking setup?

Thanks in advance for any help-
