Trying to remove Kuryakn grips

Thank you my brothers. I used a combo of all. Dental pick, hairspray, air pressure and my man hands to twist and pull it off. Put on the new (stock) bars and just have to glue on the left grip.Everything was reuseable as the T bars were 1" but tapered to 7/8" at the levers and grips. Thanks.

  You are going to be reusing the throttle sleeve, so you don't need to remove the grip from it. The left side is the only problem you have to deal with. If you were going to change the grips and not the bars, then you would need to remove the right grip from the throttle sleeve.

As Chief said use a long thin screwdriver and shoot some hairspray up there ( quick shot ) and twist  I always used that idea  and when you put them back on hairspray again and let them set up in the sun for awhile and your set

Thanks Chief, thats the way I'm going to go. maybe if I use enough air pressure it will just blow both sides off at the same time.

Did you check the web site for info.

You can use a long thin screwdriver and insert it under the rubber to break loose the glue and help to twist it off. If you have an air compressor, air can be helpful. The throttle side has a sleeve and is easy to remove.

My 800 came with a set of T bars ( handlebars )  and nice Kuryakn iso grips. I picked up a set of stock bars and risers, ( I like the traditional look better ) , and would like to put the grips on the stock bars. Tried to remove the left side first, to no avail , and an internet search shows the company includes super glue for the install. One suggestion was a screwdriver blade followed by brake cleaner spray, hairspray ect  to dissolve the glue or a razor knife and 4" grinder. Anybody ever been here before? I'd like to reuse those grips.
