will all 95 up vulcan 800s fuel tank fit the drifter 800?

Between studying the parts illustrations troll posted and looking at various ones on ebay, the only differences I'm noticing is the placement of the hose lines on the bottom of the tank.  Some have the 2 ports/nipples side by side next to each other on one side, and others just have one on each side.
I guess I'll take a look at my 2000 drifter when I get home tonight and see which one I have.
I'm looking at possibly buying a spare tank so I can have a custom warbonnet painted on

 after looking and checking I think if the petcock and  the meters line up as they should the difference in the parts number has to do with the colour, from what I am seeing.

The tanks are compatible between the regular vn800's and the Drifter 800.

wish I could answer for sure, but here are 2 pics I snagged from BikeBandit, showing the '95 fuel tank and a 2000 tank...You tell me.

I figured this had to be asked before but a couple searches didntt turn up much for m e.
are all fhe 95 and up vulcan 800 fuel tanks  compatible with the drifter 800's?  minus the trim and badging of course
