Pastor dude , that's the site 49 sent me . I ordered my bars accordingly . I found them a bit cheaper though

D1, I think our stock bars are 7/8", so you may need new grips, mounts and even risers with those bars.

Ok so I decided to order my new bars today and went bigger and wider then what Lurch has . I ended up going with Burly long horns witch are :

1 " diameter       notched and drilled to hide wires and hopefully cables   ( we'll see  )

39 " wide       17 1/4 pull back     and     7" rise

Once I have the bars I'll measure for my cable and wire length . I also need to see if the drifter shifter will be in the way with the new bars ? It'll be a week or so to receive the bars , but man I can't wait to start this project

They're certainly a smidge wider, lower, and closer. I'm 6'7, and I find these really help letting my shoulders relax.

Lurch they look great man ! I've looked at so many beach bars over the last two days I'm exhausted ... LOL
Do you remember the name of these bars ? Bikini ,long horns etc . ? What rise , pull back , are they knurled were did you get them ? Thanks for the help and they look great on your ride 

I've been really thinking about going with either the long horns or the grande beach bar . There both 39" wide 17" pullback one has a 4.5 " rise and the other a 6.5" rise . Really blows not having a shop around with these bars available to get a feel for them . I'm 6' and still feel like I'm constantly reaching for the stock bars , in return I get that shoulder blade ache . Do these bars let you sit upright more than the stock bars did ?

Stock cables work fine as long as you re-route the throttle cable behind the top triple clamp.

Looks like the barons are not terribly different than stock unless I'm missing something? Lower rise and slight longer? Similar pullback? Maybe your stock cables will teach?

PC I agree routing the cables through the bars would definitely be a MUCH cleaner look . However I've only found bars that enable you to route the electrical through the bars ? Man I wish there was someone on here who in fact did this mod so I knew what bars , cable length , rise , width etc. I in fact am looking for on this mod .

Yeah, you'll be changing out cables for sure.  If I can make a suggestion, route the cables through the bars.  MUCH cleaner looking installation!

You'll also want to make sure you get the same as your current diameter or you'll be changing out grips and mounts and everything else.

Right hand side of the page, near the top, is a "Flanders" handlebar section, in there is a diagram on how to measure handlebars.

GB there's all sorts off measurements , this is were I get confused .

For example :

Baron Nostalgia Bars
Dimensions   Diameter 1"   Width 36"   rise 3 1/2"   pullback   14 1/12"  knurled  100 mm center to center

Diameter 1.25'   w 39"    r 6.5"     sweep 18.50"

Burly 1" dimpled

width  39.5"    rise  4.5"    pullback   14.75"    9.5   center width

So as you can see there's different measurements out there , but these are pretty much the standard ones I been finding .  I now I'll most likely change out cables etc as most have used stock cables just rerouted them to the front of the tree . I'm lost when it comes to the risers . Do I need to change them etc. etc. etc .

Do you have the measurements for any of those bars in your pics?   I wonder what they measure, compared to the stock bars?  Some of them sure look comfy, and I agree they do add a nostalgic look.

  thanks D1, but I find the stock bars really comfortable, I did this winter that I am going to move them one or two notches up to make them even more comfortable. Hope you find the bars you are looking for.

Fellow drifters I'm sure this topic has came up , but with my knowledgeable computer skills .. LOL ... I just haven't been able to find answers I'm searching for .

I know there's plenty of name brands out , such as Burly , Baron etc. who sell beach bars , nostalgia and what ever else they refer to these bars as . Here's the thing I'm trying to find a pair for that retro 40's look for MA-DEUCE . Not only do I love the look . but from reading many different reviews , the one thing it seems everyone mentions is the comfort for 1 and for 2 is the pain relief from their shoulders and back . With these style bars from what people are saying , let's you ride with a straightened back and loose arms , no reach feeling . They also say it feels like adding power steering to the scoot in this position as well as for some reason makes the bike feel lighter . All plus's in my eyes with a cool look to boot .

Here's a few pictures of what fellow drifters have sent me . Man this look for me is SSSSSWWWWEEEEETTTT 

Guess my question is has anyone here done this mod and if so could you please share the info for others on the forum as well as myself .
