Scootworks also makes a rack. :)

Have a look at the links I gave you above...

There is a Kaw rack and back rest system, but finding it is difficult. There are mods out there to make your own/adapt others. Also you can buy one aftermarket...

Thanks!  I hadn't considered the weight loading.  I have a solo seat with a factory grab rail.  Is there anything I can mount to it to carry some groceries?

What troll said... it has been done before. You should use large washers etc to spread the load to avoid cracking... and don't load up the rack. Its really stressful on that part of the fender.

There is some information here:

The rear fender is supremely easy to remove, but putting a luggage rack on the fender, for more than decoration, is probably a bad idea. The plastic fender is not sturdy enough, and since it gets road shock transmitted directly to it, any extra weight will cause cracking at the mounting points. I know what you are planning to do, but it might be something you will regret. The correct luggage rack doesn't look very "Indian" but it mounts to the frame, rather than the fender, and therefore doesn't put any extra load on the plastic.

Adding a luggage rack to the rear fender.  I did a quick search and didn't see any posts on the subject.  Any advice on removal?
Thanks!
