Rejet question

everyone hijacks a thread at some point but we get back to the topic at some point, myself and D1 have been looking and seeing what is out there for Roadhouse for awhile now, and we have never found anything, yet. There are some places that have fishtail ends but they are for H-D's but I am not sure of the diameter and they just might fit.

I've heard nothing but good about it as well. I like the idea of being able to lower the RPM's during rides on the highway. It does fine as is, but definitely seems like the RPM's are up there. With that exhaust system, you can definitely hear when the RPM's go up. Mine doesn't have the tip on it so it might be louder, but it's also closer which probably makes it seem louder. Seeing as this is already off topic I won't feel bad asking another question, is there some magical place with a stash of exhaust tips for the Roadhouse? I think it would look much better with a fishtail tip on it, but I haven't found any.

Truth be told GB did not steer me wrong on the 18 T front sprocket, and so I decided to go with the 38 rear one to follow in GB's footsteps. There are a few others with this mod and I have heard nothing negative about it. So it was a go for me.

I went with Scootworks. I know they've gotten some bad press on this forum for in-stock, delivery time, etc., but I got really good service and the delivery time was good. I went with their suggestion on brand and sizes on the sprockets. I ended up going 18/38 and am happy with it.

No I just went to the local Honda shop and had them order them in for me, steel, for sure, and they ran about $40.00 ea give or take a bit. Too much of a hassle to get them through customs, GreenBarn will be better to help you with this then me, GB help him out.

So just out of curiosity, where did you buy the sprockets from? Is there somewhere online that sells them? Not much in the way of import bike shops here.

lol just bought my tickets again for this week, some day I'll be retired too and can then have time to do more on my bike, but like Troll say's I'll have to find the funds somehow.......mmmmmmm selling my Santa pictures.......

I had read about the swap, then was thinking on it, GreenBarn and a couple of others were chatting about it and so I tired it on the front first, what a difference, and so simple, so this winter I am going to do the rear one too. then to the other 10 to 15 projects planned for the bike over the winter......

No, I haven't done the sprocket swap yet. I was wanting to though. It's on my list of things to try and get done this winter. Along with replacing the petcock, cleaning the tank, and other random things. it seems like it is definitely worth it though.

Yea, but be careful here... Ratman had to wear his tin hat all summer for that setup to work out....

If you're just replacing the filter then no you shouldn't have to rejet.
The stock jets are 48pj and 135mj.

So I'm sure something like this has been asked before, but I can't find it. So if it has been asked, maybe just point me to the correct location. I have a roadhouse (I think) exhaust, and just ordered a K&N filter element for the stock airbox. It hasn't been modified except for that. Will I have to rejet if it hasn't been? Or is it just a do it and see what happens kind of thing? What is the stock jet sizes so I can see if mine has been rejetted? And any suggestions on what size I should change to? I haven't really done much work on bikes so this is fairly new to me.
