Help!1500 won't start!

yea..it sounds like the clutch switch has come unplugged...that faint little click.

All kinds of possibilities here...a bad ground connection, either at the battery or the back side of the engine to the frame cable will do this... That clutch switch thing seems to be a pretty common issue. Seems to me someone here had the ground cable connector go bad on them...causing all sorts of similar problems. That battery voltage has to be up to about 13v for proper testing.

Chief has it covered..

Buy a $10 digital multimeter from Harbour Freight..set it to dc volts connect it across your battery..expect at least 13.2 volts dc..press the starter and expect the voltage to drop by one volt..if the voltage drops by much more you are either drawing too much current..or the new battery is faulty..If the voltage doesn't drop at all you are not drawing any current..clutch switch, fuse loose connection..

If the battery doesn't read 13.2 volts at the first test the battery needs charging..so charge the battery..

Now start the bike..

If it runs check the battery voltage while the bike is idling, expect at least what you had before you started the bike...Now increase the revs and expect the battery voltage to rise by about 1 volt..if it doesn't you probably have a charging fault..

By the numbers:

1) Bike in neutral
2) Ignition switch ON
3) Confirm neutral light
4) Oil pressure light, temp, FI, Fuel  on momentarily then off
5) Set STOP switch to run/on
6) Hit start button...

<click, click, click>

CHECK THE CLUTCH SWITCH ON THE HANDLEBARS... if that little switch is loose or disconnected you will get the click thing when trying to start. If that is NOT the problem...

7) ECU fault test.

If FI ok...

Check fuses
9) Double check battery... I had a brand NEW battery that was bad.
10) You had starter and relay checked... as ok.

So... could be:

11) seized pistons
12) seized crankshaft bearings
13) broken connecting rod

14) locked up transmission or clutch

15) defective starter clutch.

  I REPLACED THE BATTERY ,REPLACED THE SOLENOID RELAY, HAD THE STARTER CHECKED. ALL I HEAR IS A LOW CLICK SEVERAL TIMES AND  THEN NOTHING . PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON. THANKS
