Thanks for the link, looks like 99-00 were the only two years. Not many color options for these bikes. But they are truly a unique breed.

You have to be aware that some early Drifters (blacked out) sat at the dealer several years before being sold and registered.
I have a blacked out '99 1500 but registration date is 2003.

What year or years was the Blackout option used on the Drifter, was it also just used on the 1500 or did the 800 also receive it?
