Classic Front Wheel compatible

I just put a chrome rotor cover for a classic of that vintage on my '01. It came with the spacers, which were absolutely correct. The thing you might run into is that the l/s seal on the '98 wheel might be wrong. If you put the whole assembly, with the speedo drive on, then you can fit a chrome hub cover. If you don't want to do that, I might want the speedo drive sleeve inside the wheel....

Does anyone know if the front wheel off a 98 1500 Classic would interchange with a 2002 1500 Drifter if I just change the speedo unit out for the Drifter spacer, or is there an axel diameter difference? I know the Tire size is the same.
