Gnar bike, man. Totally love it!

thanks ricardo!!!
I am still loving the sound of this thing with all baffling from inside the stock pipe removed.  which wasn't a easy feat, btw.  lol!  1' long drill bit and a slide hammer was about the only way to do it.  nice and loud, just like I like it, so the people in cages texting/talking/drinkining coffee/doing makeup/fiddling with their radio..etc... are looking for the noise before they see us.

that was a stock 2 up 2000 drifter seat.
He cut/shaped the foam, and custom made the leather cover for it.
I know some don't like the factory closed cell (I think thats right?) foam, but for as much as he cut out, I don't see how it would make much of a diiferance anyway.   My girl loves it.  I rode it for a bit and didn't have any complaints on comfort.
If I was planning a trip cross country, I'd prefer a big fancy comfy seat on a dresser or touring bike, but....  the same would go for my Indian also

;) ok bring us up to date and what did he actually do to the seat?

seat turned out really nice.
if anybody else with a  stock 2 up seat that wants theirs redone like this, let me know.  $290 plus shipping.
He can do differant colors and options too.

darkdrifter

dropped the stock seat off yesterday.
3 to 4 weeks.
my gal is more excited about this than any other mod.
she really needs the bike to be a inch or so lower to be flat-footed at stops.
I really really really didn't want to lower the bike cause I don't like the idea of the rear fender being any closer to the rear seat when we ride 2 up on it.

Sounds good DARKDRIFTER,be sure to posts pics when your project is completed.I too looked at Heathers Leathers for a seat.Nice looking products but wow their prices aren't cheap by no means.I have a custom solo seat being made by Singh Saddleries.

I was going to use heathers leathers, but I recently found out there is a custom seat maker local that will make whatever design saddle you want and custom fit it for the rider.  so thats the route we're going.
definetly will do some sort of piping or accents added.

DARKDRIFTER welcome back,my man.....LOL......Looks sweet and the rear luggage bag compliments the sissy bar nicely.I'm sure the miss's can hold a lot of her goods in there.Hopefully her purse fits in there. If she's anything like my better half that would be a negative....lmao.What's the plan on the seat?Just a suggestion here but,IMOP a red boarder would set those rims off.

getting closer, lol!
cut, rewelded and powdercoated the factory seat rail to give it a sissy bar and luggage rack capability.
Now all thats left is to get the seat redone into a nice custom saddle.
