Always like to put my driving lights on a dedicated circuit with a relay.

According the owners manual they should be where griz01 found them

Found mine taped into the harness under the fuel tank, on the left front of the frame, and the ones by the battery.

my 99 has a set under the seat and another under the speedo at the front of the tank. Don't know if that helps but might be worth a look.

Where are the aux wires located on a 2001 1500? My 04 had them in the headlight bucket but the 01 does not have them there. Want to wire my driving lights on a relay. The PO had them wired to the headlight and he replaced the 10A  fuse with a 20A.  I need to correct that.
