Ah ha John you have my bus list then......

Always said if I win big I would have a bus picking up people and they sign a waiver of nondisclousure on the percentage they have won, only people priviy to that is them, me and the Lottery corp as to the cutting of the cheques, and tax people can only go after the interest earned after the first year...(that is the way it works here)...So I can add you to my bus list for a percentage......

When I win my millions on the lottery I will be claiming that I am part of a syndicate that includes all my family, that way they won't have to pay tax on the shares I hand out..

Whether it's Apple, Exxon, or some others, tax cheats come in all shapes and sizes, but mostly large.

;)  Thank you 49, you are a prince among men.....

I remember when Tim Horton's announced it was opening a outlet in Kanadahar for the Troops. My Sqn was one of the places that the civilians, (that went over to man the Timmies and a few other civilian run places) came for inital training, CBRN and first aid were required. It was fun training them.

49 you can fly the red and white as much as you want because we will let you into our country.....lol.....your my hero.....and then PC is on my list too....

Well said, John. That being said, when it comes to Starbucks, I will NEVER enter one of their establishments again; my wifes' nephew, who is employed by a major bank here in Canada, helped kick off a program to send gifts/care packages to Canadian troops in Afghanistan. When he approached Starbucks, (one of many corporations he approached for donations) he was told, short and sweet, "Starbucks does not support Canadian troops". Therefore, this is one Canadianized American who will not support them. Small potatoes to be sure, but it is, after all, the thought that counts.... I realize this has nothing to to do with the issue you raised, but since Lionel told us that I don't have much use for them...

There. My rant for the day. And I didn't even pick on that most pickable of people, the much thought of (and picked on) Ratman......

The American government is complaining thet Apple is not paying taxes in the USA on billions of dollars of income..

The thing is Apple have registered their offices in Ireland and other countries so the sell everything from Ireland and buy everything in other countries..this means that in the countries that they buy they can claim tax refunds and in Ireland they pay taxes at a much reduced rate..

Google, Starbucks and Amazon also use the same system against Britain..but should we blame them, if our governments aren't clever enough to outwit a few accountants then maybe we need better government.

John.
