I put a bit less than 3 qts (or around 3 qts) - I go by the level window and put just a little less than full mark.

There is a sticker on the crankcase cover, next to the oil filler with approximate capacity. I buy 4 quarts, and put in, like 3.2 with a change, AND THE FILTER...do that 4 times and you have the oil saved up for the next change.

I'm looking to do my oil change... How much is necessary when changing the oil?
