Dash Swap

I know the dashes are differant.  not sure if they'll interchange.
I am kinda curious if anybody's added any kind of gas guage to their 800 though.

If you didn't mind drilling a hole on the lh side of the tank opposite the rh cap, I'm sure you could install a "dummy" gas cap with the gas level guage built into it, like on the harleys

I don't mind the idea of not having a gas gauge on my 800 (rode HD's for years, guessing when I needed to get gas), but was wondering if the 1500 gauge cluster will fit and what type of modifications would need to be made?  I know the fuel gauge would somehow need to be fitted, just don't know how.  Or will just the 1500 speedometer and gas gauge fit into the 800 dash housing?
