Larger Gas Tank 4 drifter 800?

I thought about a bigger gas tank for longer hauls but then I would have to invest in a bigger badder transplant and an ass bone replacement. All three need servicing about the same time.

Your gas tank should have roughly the same "travel volume" as your bladder; cuts down on stops that way; no sense stopping for one then stopping for the other 20 minutes later......

Was thinking over the weekend.....wondering what the cost is for this and then to justify the cost vs the amount of volume added to the tank. How much are you getting in the end. If it only adds like a gallon to the over all size of the tank what distance will you gain, is it worth it?

just found a new tank ordered if they are still available is like $850.00. Then the cost of the mod.....

Any one out there know if the company (C.A.E.) is still is business modifying motorcycle gas tanks? I'd like to have my Drifter 800 tank enlarged to hold more volume. Or has anyone added a larger fuel tank from another bike to the 800 without to much mods ?
