Front fender is the same, they use the same front suspension, but that's it. The fuel tank has to be correct since they not only changed to an electronic speedo, but the fuel filter is external and the frame is different.

(This is the way I understand it, but if I'm off on any of this I'm sure someone else will speak up)

Front fenders are the same on the 1500 and 800, but that's it.  For the rest, the rear fender from any 1500 will work, as will the 1500 side covers.  On the tank, you're going to have to have a '99 or '00 tank because of the size change and the instrument cluster change.

Hello All,

Did a forum search and was hoping for a definitive affirmation--if I have a 1999 Drifter 1500, will the fenders (front and rear) as well as the tank exchange with any other year 1500 Drifter?

I ask because there was some confusion on bolt hole location, etc.  Definitely an 800 to 1500 swap is out--correct?

Thanks for your patience,
