Yes, there are 2 types of furniture in my book; wood, and that "other" stuff. Same with kitchen cupboards.

Not a real rush to get them shipped; won't be until around the last week of April or early May before I get there. That being said, I will let you know before you ship if I will be earlier; later won't matter, as Dad just puts my stuff up out of the way.

49 sounds great,my man.I really appreciate your father taking part in this movement.I'm actually getting the tools together now to start breaking down the exhaust.I spent all morning with my wife moving things out of Aidan's room for his new furniture.Nothing like carrying dressers up and down a flight of steps..lol....I'm one who buys real wood not that press board stuff so it's heavy,but last forever.....

Hey 49..I live in NY,,,10940.I haven't broken down the assembly of the pipes just ,yet.I've honestly been busy between shopping for the upgrade of my sons room and working on my drifter.My sons going through the transition of the kiddie room to the "Big Boy room" as my wife and I call it...lol.You know he has to have a longer,taller dresser w/mirror,tv has to go from the tv stand to flat screen on the wall etc.,etc.It's tough being a 6 yr. old now a days.Anyway's my plans are to start breaking the exhaust down tomorrow at some point.Then I'll get shipping materials for packaging purposes and so on.My plan is to have this completed and ready to be shipped by the end of this month.I'll pm you to work out the details and such when this is completed and NTL gives me the go ahead.Thanks for your help on this 49....it is greatly appreciated....

Hi, Drift1; 49Reo (Fred) here. If you disassembled the exhaust system, would it be cheaper to ship to Montana 59870 zip? That is my fathers place; I had a set of V&H Longshots shipped there last year, wasn't too bad by UPS (can't remember exactly how much, but not too terrible) I realize the stock setup weighs quite a bit more, so maybe that would tip the scales towards the poorhouse a bit. Where abouts are you located? Just want to see if any of my other out(in)laws live around there, where if one of them is going to be headed towards Montana we could lower the shipping costs.

I use the bus regular to send stuff to my sister about 5 hours south of here.....take s2 days or over nite.....cost is by the size of the item and the weight. Not sure of the charges down there.....

I know 49 has volunteered his help with the transportation on the movement for the exhaust for NTL,but I was just wondering has anyone used a bus company for doing this.If so how does this work?I mean what do they charge you...a regular bus ticket just like you were taking a fare.Just curious on this.

NAFTA actually saved me $7000.00 back in 1994...I was living in CT and wanted a Jeep...research showed them selling for same price in Nova Scotia as in CT...$21,000...BUT at that time exchange was 33% in favor of American dollar...so I took $14,000 north and returned with a brand new Jeep. So im in no rush. I'll drive my car, so I can pack it back..... Nothing like an adventure and a good story right!

Not at all, NTL Glad to help out If you guys can get it to Montana, to my fathers place I will brig it back when I go down to see him in the spring. Only thing I can't guarantee is when I will be going down to see him. If you are not in a rush, we can make it work. Just let me know, so I can tell him to expect a package. We do this quite often, mostly for myself, but last year he fielded a package for Drifter Paul in Australia; he was trying to get a seat for his Drifter shipped over, but the seller refused to sell to anyone outside the USA. So, he shipped it to my fathers place, he in turn shipped it to Australia. DP sent me the postage cost and I kicked it down to Dad's. All works out, a little convoluted, but it works.

Wow, thanks for the kind gestures. It has been a rough year but I am on the path to recovery. Can't wait to get my bike back out on the road, hopefully this spring.

I like the idea of shipping to Montana if 49Reo doesn't mind picking it up and bringing it across the line. It would do me some good to go on a bit of a road trip - we could meet in Cranbrook.

I hear ya. Shipping between Canadian addresses is more expensive than shipping from Canada to the U.S.; I listed a Corbin seat on eBay about 3-4 years ago, had 2 people interested and wanting shipping costs. So, checked the postal rates, to ship to Calgary Alberta (about 700 miles) was more money than shipping it to the mid-west. Go figure; to me that made no sense, but it is what it is. They get you coming or going.....

I'll take the tarnished Knight anytime......now if I was in line or along the route of easy get it here, I would do it in a heartbeat. That is why I asked D1 how close he is to Fort Drum. The USAF unit here does a weekly run to Fort Drum and brings things back for their mini PX and other items and duty free too. But it would be next to the same cost to ship from ON to BC via UPS or any service that I checked....if he lived in ON I would have taken care of it, but you got the nod this time.....
