You can also check that little springs in your brake pedal. You said that that that pedal is not returning the the right position and also you do not have brake light. Check and clean your foot brake switch as you there. Just a thought.

Speaking of mityvac.. I just picked one up today for the Santa fe. It worked like a champ! Completely worth the 35 bucks.

Check for dirt/debris; I had a tiny pebble get down in by my pedal, and locked it up on a gravel road. Things go south in a hurry when that happens. Let us know what you find; it might help someone else here too.

When's the last time you changed your rear brake fluid? Brake fluid should be replaced at least every two years with fresh (out of a new can) DOT 4 fluid. The same goes for the front brake and I change my clutch fluid every year because it is worked harder than the brake fluid. A Mity-Vac tool is invaluable for this job.

When something sudden happens, it's good to rule out the simplest possible problems first.  After that is when it gets interesting.  If it gets interesting, hit us up again.

Maybe I didn't even think about that...haha
I do need to do a detail on the bike jus cause where I lived I have a lot of loose dirt in my yard

Could dirt or debris be an issue?
