I would like my new 1500 to come out of the shop in the spring with a new 2-tone paint job.  Trouble is, I can't narrow the choices down to just TWO COLORS!

You are an American, and I imagine very proud of that fact..

The Drifter is a copy of an Indian which is about as american as a motorcycle can get, I guess you want the bike to be admired and stand out in a crowd or you would not be paying big bucks for a paint job..

Why not paint it with Old Glory..

Finally sprayed the final coat of clear.  Had to bring the parts in from the cold garage to dry. A little color sanding and polish and she goes back together.

Thanks so much from Everyone for your input.  I've been quiet on this, not b/c I've been ignoring, but b/c I've been looking and thinking...  so much that now I have a headache!    Problem is, I don't think there was anything listed that I DIDN'T LIKE, some I like more, of course, and some I like less.  There are a lot of good points to consider, and lots of ideas.  It's a good thing I have a bit of time yet to make up my mind.

Feel free to keep the ideas coming!   Nothing is set in stone until the paint gun is filled...

The Black/Silver combo (w/ chrome) almost takes my breath away sometimes.

I always like the Indian Chief chrome fender moldings between two colors.

Second vote is like in the pic.

I agree with you, but what about a reverse combination for that Indian?

Here is a bold step.  Choose a pinstripe.  Very sharp with tan leather.  I love the teal/turquoise/seafoam colors, but they are probably the most common retro base colors done.  If I was repainting, I would step away from the common cliche paint jobs. Red/black, red/white, or black/white with the oval inset on the tank.  It really isn't the colors as much as it is the oval painted on the sides of the tank.  I prefer it to the oval inset on the tanks.   I'm sure you will get exactly what you want.
